The stone first
Where it starts
A white diamond is judged on what it does not have: no tint, no inclusion, no fault in the cut. A colour diamond is judged on what it has. The approach is reversed, and that reversal is what interests us.
Roughly one diamond in ten thousand is naturally coloured. That rarity cannot be decreed: it comes from accidents in the formation of the stone, displaced atoms, a particular pressure. No one intended it and no one can reproduce it. Which is why no two colour stones are ever alike.
Why loose stones
We supply loose stones, never finished jewellery. That is our place in the chain: we deliver the material, the jeweller gives it form. A client who begins with the stone settles first on what cannot be replaced, then entrusts the design to their workshop.
So we are not jewellers. We are the jeweller's supplier, and the direct contact for the private client who wants to settle on a stone before having it set.
What sets a stone apart
On a colour diamond, hue and intensity account for most of the price; weight comes far behind. A small, intensely coloured stone outranks a large pale one. The GIA places that intensity on a scale running from Faint to Fancy Vivid, and it is the first figure we consult.
Then comes everything a report does not say: how the colour distributes itself through the stone, what it becomes in late afternoon light, what it does once it sits against skin. That is where the sorting happens, and it is why we film each stone rather than photograph it.
The seven grades of the scale
The GIA grades the intensity of a colour diamond on seven levels. From one grade to the next the stone changes neither size nor shape: only the saturation of its colour advances.

How we work
Whether you are a private client or a professional, the approach is the same. We start from the project and the budget. We send the list of stones currently available, then narrow it down with you to those that answer the project. If none is right, our partners allow us to go beyond that list and obtain a stone matching your criteria precisely.
Every stone we present comes with its GIA report. We offer none without that document.
